You said it’s all over.
The dreams died,
The smiles vanished,
I cry to express the hurt.
My tears, the language of my heart
The tears dry up on my cheeks,
I drink to dissolve the sorrow.
And you come closer with each ounce
The hallucinations disappear
I hurt myself.
I hope one pain numbs the other,
The scars heal,
I turn on the shower.
Let it drown the memories!
The water drains,
The pain remains…
I listen to music.
Wasn’t it the reason I loved you?
Slowly, the notes die away, but
The pain remains…
I write – to flush it out.
The lines soothing the burns,
The words are long forgotten,
The pain still remains…
And, I jump off this cliff
Finding solace in the earth’s lap?
The echoes fade away.
Now, only the pain remains…
Its amazing!! I thought everything really was OVER!! But pain remained... to teach me that world didn't come to an end when one chapter in your life ended. If you dont end it there, the pain will keep thwarting your way... like a thorn, it'll keep stinging you. It keeps saying; 'face it... finish it... and then let it go.'
